Hi!
I’m Sweet and you have stumbled upon the blog of an introvert. This isn’t how I would introduce myself before, but self-awareness has taught me to fully embrace my personality and all that comes with it. People who have known me since childhood wouldn’t believe that I’m an introvert. They’d think I’m making it up if I say that my social awkwardness sometimes gets the better of me. This is why I prefer to write, at least I can pause and think before I say anything.
Now let’s talk about why I’m called Sweet. It’s actually my nickname. My real name is a combination of my parents’ names and since I’m the product of two sweethearts, I go by Sweet. I live in California and I love it here no matter what people say. This is home and I get to explore it with my husband, J. We’ve been together for more than two decades. He’s still my crush after all these years 🙂
I have built a career as an administrative professional and I work from home most of the time (a dream for introverts!). I turn into a recluse when the clock strikes 3:00 pm because I’m done people-ing. Just kidding! I’ve always wanted to create an online space for myself where I can practice writing, storytelling and also work on my very amateur photography skills 🙂 This blog is a personal project that’s been put on hold for a long time. I wanted an outlet to express my thoughts, a space that reflects my inner world. I got tired of watching others go after their creative pursuits while I remained a stagnant spectator wondering if I’d ever get to do the same. So one day, I sat down and built this blog from scratch.
What is the introvert vibe, you ask? Well, introverts tend to have a reserved, quiet and introspective vibe. (Not all introverts are quiet. Some of us can get loud, too, as long as we’re in the right setting.) We reflect on our actions, decisions, emotions and examine the past. Here on my blog, I want to take a look at the different aspects that make up and light up my introverted existence. From the joys and woes of daily life as an introvert, to style, travel, mindset and faith, I’ll cover them all knowing that each piece adds to the rich tapestry that shapes who I am and how I move in the world.
